Journey of PPM
Pillur Ponnappachettiyar, started Mandy (Warehouse) to help the farmers to trade the oil seeds in Thiruchangode, Nammakal District in 1940. His benevolence leads Mandy to contact the farmers and the buyers directly (on a tender basis), farmers by getting the best price on the market, and merchants by getting the best seeds, thus both parties earn profit equally. His optimistic views gain our first and foremost success.
In remembrance of Pillur Ponnappachettiyar, his son Marudha Chettiar named the company as PPM (Pillur Ponnappachettiyar’s Mandy). We built the trust of people in society by maintaining harmony between farmers and merchants.To uplift the trust and quality, Marudha Chettiar’s son Umashankar expanded the PPM mill with advanced types of machinery which are separate, remove and cleanse the oil seeds.

Farmers and merchants coexisted peacefully. Company renamed as PPM.
Umashankar (Take in-Charge)
Machineries were added to the mill to expand it.
PPM U. Muthu (Joined)
Began to participate in company business to learn more about it.
PPM U. Muthu (Take in-Charge)
Initiated pure cold pressed native seed oil business.
PPM U. Udhayakumar (Joined as a Partner)
Joined hands together with his brother Muthu to entail the company to next level.
What We Produce
To preserve heritage, we are working hand in hand with farmers and ensuring quality, Umashankar’s sons PPM U. Muthu and PPM U. Udhayakumar insist an idea of providing oils which are from native seeds at best. We produce cold pressed oil, generally known as “CHEKKU ENNAI”. We have received an authorized license from ISO, FSSAI and TM.
